This is my first soiree into the “blogosphere”. I am overwhelmed by all the options, but I am optimistic I’ll be able to figure it all out and make the most of this unique opportunity to reach such a large potential audience.
My name is “Atalanta_Q”, or at least, that’s my main poker alias. I am the creator of “PokerForHer.Com” and I’ll be blogging about all things poker here.
Now, this blog (and my site) is always welcome to poker players of all genders, but my site is for people who are serious about poker- serious about learning or playing. If I can help you be an expert online player, make some money, and/or put a random jackass in their place at the table then I am excited and available to do so.
The fact of the matter is, the entire poker industry is saturated with men and, unfortunately, the fact that a fair share of female sponsorships have gone to “faces” (you know who I’m talking about) versus talents leaves the job of being taken seriously (as a woman at the tables) a bigger one than we’d probably like.
But, I welcome a challenge and I know a lot of you are the same– so let’s get going. We have a lot of work to do!
